Joe Eagle — aka Roxy J. Eagle, Rocco J. Dell’Aquilla, and Joseph Martin — was a neighbor of the Pryor family on North Washington Street and, according to Richard Pryor, the only proprietor on the block whose brothel offered white prostitutes.
Like Bris Collins and Harold Parker, Joe Eagle was prosecuted by the law in the era of reform. In 1954, a federal grand jury indicted Eagle on the charge of lying under oath; he was already being prosecuted for the count of tax evasion.
