At age fifteen Richard Pryor’s father, LeRoy Pryor, was among the four “negroes” arrested on disorderly conduct charges early one morning.
The full text reads:
“Four negroes were arrested early Tuesday morning in the Wabash sand house and were fined $18.40 each by Judge Fred J. Hoyt on pleas of guilty to disorderly conduct charges. The defendants are LeRoy Pryor, 537 North Jasper street; Harold Anderson, 3561 East Cerro Gorcio street; Allen Walters, 522 South Water street; and Fred Dixon, 536 North Jasper street.
